  • Mixed micro/nanoparticle surfactant layers at liquid interfaces and their rheological properties;
  • Molecular and supramolecular organisation in adsorption layers;
  • Influence of the interfacial properties on the stability of dispersed systems and application to emulsions and foams technology;
  • Structural and functional properties of amphiphiles adsorbed at solid-liquid interfaces;
  • Investigations in weightless conditions (microgravity)

 

Principal Research Projects

  • Since 2010, scientific coordinator of the national project NIPS - Nanoparticle Impact on Pulmonary Surfactant Interfacial Properties, funded by IIT (Italian Institute for Technology).
  • Since 2010 participation and responsible of the CNR team of the international project PASTA - “Particle Stabilized Emulsions and Foams ” (AO-2009-0813), funded by ESA (European Space Agency).
  • Since, 2009 participation to the national MSE-CNR project “Tecnologie innovative per migliorare le prestazioni ambientali delle centrali a polverino di carbone” (MSE-CNR 2006).
  • Since 2008, participation to the national project LIFT – Liquid Film Tensiometer, funded by ASI (Agenzia Spaziale Italiana).
  • Since 2006, participation to the national CNR project “ Soft matter for the optimisation of fuel and processes in sustainable energy production“ (resp- L. Liggieri) and, since 2007, scientific responsible of the sub-project “ Nanoparticles – liquid interfaces interaction and surface rheological properties: development of experimental methodology and theoretical models”
